Subject: Product Recall – Discharge Valves (Vacuum Sewer Systems) – Infringement of European Patent EP 1 840 282 B1

Dear Sir or Madam at EVAC Germany GmbH,

We are writing to inform you of a mandatory product recall concerning certain products that we have supplied to you.

1. Background

By decision of the Local Division Düsseldorf of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) dated 22 June 2026 (Case No. UPC_CFI_811/2024), it has been determined that the following products infringe European Patent EP 1 840 282 B1 which was patented by EVAC OY:

▸Discharge valves including an aeration means for a vacuum sewer system (in particular Art. No. 6562976 and Art. No. 6543002)

(hereinafter the "affected products")

The Court has ordered us to recall these affected products from the channels of commerce.

2. Recall Request

We hereby formally request that you cease any further use, offering, or distribution of the affected products and return them to us.

3. Our Binding Commitments

In connection with this recall, we make the following binding commitments to you:

1	We will refund the purchase price of the affected products.
2	We will bear the packaging and transport costs arising from the return.
3	We will reimburse any customs and storage costs associated with the return of the products.
4	We will take back the affected products.

4. Next Steps

Please contact us through e-mail and telephone as detailed below to arrange the return of the affected products. Upon receipt, we will process the reimbursement of the costs set out above without undue delay.
